Her most representative role to this date is that of Kayako Saeki, the vengeful ghost in the Japanese Ju-on series, a role that she also played in the remakes for the American audience The Grudge and The Grudge 2. She is mainly active on-stage and as a voice actress, but occasionally also appears in films.
