The 3rd installment in James A. Burkhalter's QUEER ROOTS trilogy: After years of his mother begging him to do it, James decides to finally review and erase 10 years' worth of phone messages. It tells the story of James' "roaring twenties," constructed solely through the voices of friends, family, and lovers.
At night, in the dark recesses of the woods, a male cellist lures in viewers with a performance of Bach's "Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major." It stars Paul McCoy Drutz-Hannahs, a professional cellist with the Johns Hopkins University Orchestra.
Paul earned his Bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College and his Master's from Johns Hopkins University. His first onscreen appearance was in James A. Burkhalter's 2009 feature-length GLBTQ documentary, entitled "There Will Be Glitter." Paul is an aspiring actor and standup comedian, living in the Baltimore area. Jack Whitehall and Michelle Wolf are his favorite standup performers. In his spare time, Paul enjoys tennis, computer programming, playing the cello, and exploring new places with his husband, Adam. He also loves listening to 20th century Russian classical music.
