Pretty Bloody: The Women of Horror is a television documentary film that premiered on the Canadian cable network Space on February 25, 2009. The hour-long documentary examines the experiences, motivations and impact of the increasing number of women engaged in horror fiction, with producers Donna Davies and Kimberlee McTaggart of Canada's Sorcery Films interviewing actresses, film directors, writers, critics and academics. The documentary was filmed in Toronto, Canada; and in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York in the US.

Montréal born Elza Kephart graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Film Production and Screenwriting. She then returned to her hometown where she wrote and directed her first feature GRAVEYARD ALIVE. Since its premiere in 2003 the film has screened in over 20 international film festivals and garnered numerous awards, as well as being picked up for distribution and international sales. Kephart has attended the Canadian Film Centre’s Director’s Lab, the TIFF Talent Lab, the Berlinale Talent Campus, and has obtained development funding for numerous projects. GO IN THE WILDERNESS is her second feature.
