Helena is a 70 year old woman living in a nursing home. His daughter, and especially his son, not want to have at home. Already expelled six residences, Helena thinks if escape this, it will not be accepted in another and can not do anything but let her go home. For this flight uses the help of James, another resident who has no family and is in love with him.
It is a surrealist comedy where reality and fantasy are mixed, it tells in a humorous tone the daily life and dreams of a 40-year-old film buff, played by Emilio Gutiérrez Caba.
Carmen leaves her husband Julio to go live with an intellectual who has made a career in the United States. While, Julio goes away to live of rent to house of an aristocrat come to less. After meeting several colorful characters, Julio decides to recover Carmen.

Elvira Quintillá (19 September 1928 – 27 December 2013) was a Spanish actress, whose career spanned over six decades. Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Quintillá began her acting career in 1941, appearing on stage. She married actor José María Rodero in 1947, and the couple remained together until Rodero's death in May 1991. She died on 27 December 2013, aged 85, in Madrid, Community of Madrid.
