SKY ARTS presents Suede's Coming Up (released on Nude Records in 1996) in the Classic Albums series.
Looking at identity, power, happiness, self-destruction and acceptance, this is a thematic exploration of a group that opened the door for Britpop and led the way for a new era of guitar music.
The film follows the band Slowdive as they come up in the flourishing Thames Valley shoegaze scene and chronicles the making of their classic album Souvlaki. It features interviews with all of the band members as well as Creation Records' Alan McGee, producer Chris Hufford, and engineer Ed Buller.
Edmund Wilbur Hudson "Ed" Buller (born 9 August 1962 in Reigate, Surrey) is an English record producer and former musician. He has primarily worked with English bands including Suede, Pulp, The Raincoats and The Courteeners. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
