Biography

Ingrid Birgitta Pettersson is a Swedish stage and screen actress. She made her film debut in "Salka Valka" (1954), and graduated from Malmö City Theatre Academy in 1959. Birgitta Pettersson received international attention in Ingmar Bergman's "Virgin Spring" (1960). The rose as "Karin" was her second film with Bergman.
